Threshold is a stand-alone application, designed to be run all the time in the background. If you want Threshold to start up automatically every time you turn on or restart your PowerBook, use the following steps:
1) Move your copy of Threshold to wherever you want to store it (in your "Utilities" folder or someplace similar).
2) Open the folder containing Threshold.
3) Click on the application icon once to select it.
4) From the File menu under the Finder, choose 窶廚reate Alias窶.
5) Drag the alias to the 窶彜tartup Items窶 folder, inside your 窶彜ystem Folder窶.
6) Restart! Threshold should start running automatically.
Or, if you desire, you can place the Threshold application itself in your "Startup Items" folder, which will save you a little disk space.
The Preferences file
The first time you run Threshold, it will create a "Threshold Preferences" file in your "Preferences" folder. This is where Threshold will store all your options and preferences.
The MyBattery Link
Threshold has the ability to send and receive information to MyBattery. Whenever MyBattery or Threshold is running, a "MyBattery Link" file will be temporarily created in your "Preferences" folder.
